Summer Term

The Summer Term website at Boston University lets students browse information about the University's summer course offerings, dining plans, and campus life.

My application allows visitors to search the catalog of summer courses by a range of simple criteria. Whereas the search mechanism is straightforward, the application's complexity comes from how it assembles together various data to create each set of results.

Basic information about classes like when and where they're scheduled comes from the University's central registration database, of course. This includes dates, instructor names, course descriptions, et cetera.

Summer courses are priced differently than regular semester classes (being in different programs, of different lengths, some having laving fees, et cetera). Pricing information comes directly from the Summer Term office. That office also adds introductory information and special notes about special programs they've put together.
