To help keep affirmative action information accurate and anonymous, I created a web-based application for administrating all faculty affirmative action data. Departments enter the e-mail addresses of applicants, and the application does the rest.

Applicants get an e-mail, identify their own race and gender for reporting purposes, and the departments never hear another word about it.

Individual responses are completely anonymous, and only affirmative action personnel in the provost's office ever see aggregated reports.
