A third problem we've had in labs historically is that students didn't know who to ask for help out of all the people sitting in the lab. Until they recognize all the different TAs who hold help sessions they need a way to find TAs. At UVM, teaching assistants always wrote their name on the marker board at the front of the room, but this didn't always help because there was no convenient way to indicate where anybody was sitting.
LabMaster solves this too. From the Student Toolbar, students can select a "Find a TA" option from the pull-down menu and see a map of the room only showing where TAs are sitting. Clicking a seat produces this information panel with a picture and details about what classes that person is currently supporting.
